Mangareva – Gateway to the Gambier
Arrive at Mangareva, the main island, cradled in a huge protected lagoon. Settle aboard and visit the monumental Saint-Michel cathedral, built of coral and mother-of-pearl.
Mangareva – Pearls & Peaks
Hike Mount Duff for a panorama over the entire lagoon, then visit a black-pearl farm — the Gambier produce some of the finest pearls in the world.
Taravai – Island of Flowers
